Naturopathic Management

Dr. Jennifer Phillips is a board certified and licensed Naturopathic Physician, or ND.

A Naturopathic Physician is a practitioner trained to be a primary care general practitioner and expert in natural medicine.  In practice the underlying cause of disease is investigated in conjunction with lifestyle and nutritional management of symptoms. Dr. Phillips has been in practice for 11 years, 10 of which have been in cooperation with Dr. Horvitz. Her practice has thrived at the Institute for Medical Wellness due to the ever-increasing interest in alternative medicine in New Jersey.

Dr.Phillips believes that getting better is a simple two-step process. The first step is to uncover the underlying causes of illness, whether related to nutrient deficiencies, food allergies, environmental factors, or hormone imbalance. The next step is to fix these deficiencies and/or imbalances with supplements, herbs, lifestyle changes, and diet counseling.

Dr. Phillips believes that certain factors are necessary for wellness: healthy digestion, normal weight, good mood, and quality sleep. Dr. Phillips has a special interest in helping individuals with the following ailments:
