Sleep is extremely important. Recent research is indicating that poor sleep makes it difficult to get your body to it’s optimal weight among other maladies.

It all has to do with circadian rhythms.

  1. Circadian rhythms are physical, mental and behavioral changes that follow a roughly 24-hour cycle, responding primarily to light and darkness in an organism's environment. They are found in most living things, including animals, plants and many tiny microbes.

To be healthy we need to reduce stress. I find that putting time into hobbies helps reduce stress and gives me something to look forward to each day.

I would like to thank everyone who attended Dr. Jennifer Phillips presentation on Monday evening. I found it informative and I think what I liked best was the interaction between Dr. Phillips and the Challenge group.
