 Preparing for your Massage

  • Timing:  Please arrive for your first appointment 15 minutes early to fill out the confidential intake form. Also it is nice to take a few minutes before the appointment starts to think about any areas you would like to have the therapist concentrate on. If you arrive late, you will get the best possible treatment within the remaining appointment time.

  • Hydration: Before all types of massage it is good to be hydrated.  Drink water that day of your massage, and have plenty of water on hand for afterwards.  This helps circulation, the ability to relax and to release toxins.

  • Clothing:
Thai massage: Wear warm, stretchy clothes, free from zippers and binding or tight ares so that you can move comfortably. No oils are used in this massage.

Hot Stone, Swedish & Deep Tissue: These massages use oils applied on directly on the skin.  Dress comfortably and simply so that you can easily undress and re-dress afterwards.  (The massage therapist will step out of the room and wait until you are on the table and appropriately covered.) Jewelry should be removed wherever possible.

If you wear contacts, bring a case and fluid so that you can remove them for your comfort.

  • Turn off your cell phone, breathe and relax!
